For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, you can read about the history of Tuesdays with Dorie here on the Tuesdays with Dorie blog. What a fun idea, huh??
Here is my first TWD recipe: White Loaves!
This was my second go at the recipe. The first loaves turned out yummy as well, but I didn't let them rise long enough (ya know.....kids had somewhere to be or something). The second time I had plenty of time to let the yeast do it's magic, so the loaves rose slowly and beautifully. The result was tender, soft bread, which we devoured in a matter of a few days. This bread is SO delicious with a schmere of butter and jam, but we also enjoyed making grilled cheese and paninis with it. It's sturdy enough to make a "man sandwich"---haha. :)
If you're interested in the cookbook we're working through on Tuesdays With Dorie, you can see it here. It's a beautiful book, with gorgeous recipes! Yes, some are intimidating, but the instructions are easy to understand. I'm so excited for this adventure!
